MISSION STATEMENT

Your support enables us to provide an opportunity for musicians from the Central Florida area to demonstrate their artistic talent and share the pleasures of musical performances with the community. Its purpose is to provide symphonic concerts designed to enrich the cultural life of the area. Its programs seek to entertain and create an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment for all.

Our symphonic performances seek to capture the attention of audiences outside the sphere of traditional classical performances by adding other aspects of the performing arts. These include dance, drama, inspirational speaking, education, and audience participation. The Ormond Beach Symphony Orchestra welcomes the spontaneity of audience reaction and applause throughout our performances. We seek to move beyond the stoicism of nineteenth and twentieth century symphonic performance setting and move toward the roots of the pleasure of classical and baroque performances for the common classes as orchestral music was enjoyed in parties, dances, worship, and opera. We present pops music in a friendly setting, including music of movies, Broadway, romance, and patriotism.

      Tax-Exempt 
The Ormond Beach Symphony Orchestra is operated under the auspices of the Florida Philharmonic, Inc., qualified as a tax-exempt organization under 501(c)3 of the United States Tax Code. The Florida Philharmonic is also the parent organization of the Daytona Pops Orchestra and the Ormond Beach Chamber Ensemble.
